To get rid of this, Maharashtra Forest Department has launched an app named My Plant App which will help the government to keep the record of the number of plants in the state.
The app has been launched by Maharashtra Government with the help of Maharashtra Forest Department. On one side, various organisations and governments are cutting plants for commercial use and on the other hand, Maharashtra Government is taking some serious steps to protect nature and it's beauty.

How to Download My Plant App
- First of all, go to Google Play Store.
- Search for My Plant app in the search bar.
- Install the app.
- That's all, Now start using the app for making Maharashtra Clean and Green.
How to Use the App
- Open the app.
- On the next screen, You will find following fields.
- Enter your name, mobile number, district, village, address along with the number of participants who took part in the plantation. Also, Mention number of plants wit their photos.
Using the app, people and organisations can provide the data of plant sapling to the forest department which will help them in creating a database of trees.
In last few years, We have seen that many social organisations are planting trees on their own. But these are nowhere on record so after this app all planted trees will come in the count.
Maharashtra forest minister Sudhir Mungantiwar asked his officials to prepare a database of tree plantation, which would help them in achieving their target of planting 13 crore trees in 2018.
Currently, The app is made for Maharashtra only as a trial. If it helps, Then it can be launched in each and every part of the country. let's hope the app works for them so that we can have it in every state to keep the record of tree plantation.
